This is only a small clip of this "Holy Grail" of Star Wars history. Back when Star Wars first came out, George Lucas would do anything for money. He whored himself out for this sorry Star Wars Holiday special. He tried to squash it when Star Wars made money, but it was too late. Be forewarned. This is ultra cheesy late 70's TV. I remember seeing this as a kid in 1978. I am still in therapy over this stupid TV special.

  • Lucas made some crap, Stars Wars being one of his successes. But he opted to take the sales from the Star Wars merchandise instead of the Movies. The toys made him an instance millionaire, he didn't need to plug this cheap crap show we just watched. That was plugged by the company who took the film rights & laughed at Lucas for just wanting the toy sales. Star Wars is Lucas so obviously his name is all over it, but this had nothing to do with George Lucas.

  • 3,29 - proof that this was Lucas all the way: The obligatory Wilhelm Scream

  • @EmilyMI48854 I think they had no choice. Look at Ford's face at 4:27, he doesn't want to be there. Lucas probably paid Fisher an extra bag o coke to sing.

  • Was that a microphone in your hand or are you just happy to see me?

  • 2:35 WTF is that all about!!!!!

  • I take issue with your description... "back when star wars came out, lucas would do anything for money?"

    what's changed?

  • "Ooohh yess.. I can feel my creation!" BAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHHAA!

  • WOW this was bad, I am surprised that the cast members agreed to this? was that Bea Arthur (spelling?) in the bar?

  • @kev3d Baker didn't participate in it, they used the other R2, a real robot. There were only two R2's used in A New Hope.

  • I'm going to sue whoever posted this for the optometrist bill because MY EYES ARE BLEEDING!!!!
