@mrfontain well there's your problem... your buying a fucking dslr for video purposes... way to limit yourself. just buy a go pro 2 which is cheaper and better than both of these for video.
-
sky is definitely more blue on the the 5d mark ii.
-
wow i have a 7d, but never knew the true different in the crop factor, it seems more than just 1,6 to me. im surprised how much it is
-
@bluelemur01 what do you mean by full frame?
-
Annoying music and dizzying panning. Why not just do a sequential comparison and review? You also panned way too fast to conclude anything other than the cropped sensor showing less of the subject that the full frame sensor. Anyway the 5D Mark II takes better pictures. Everyone knows that.
-
apart from the obvious of full frame, the 5d seems just overall sharper than the 7d (coming from a long time 7d user)
-
this fullframe and crop matrix testing is inadequate, crop is showing angles and shaded places of the appartment and fullframe show the wide angle

@bluelemur01 problem shooting with L lenses... why? I think you're confusing EF-S lenses not working on full frame canon dslrs. L lenses work just fine on the 7d. You could even use an L lens on a canon t3. The EF-S lenses stick out towards the mirror so much that if a full frame camera, like the 5d mk2, were to use one, the massive mirror would bump into the lens when the shutter is released.
-
@mrfontain with 7d you can shoot @ 60 fps and you can have great slow motion, but is not full frame and you'll have problem using L-series lenses.
-
So, I just take pictures. Would you suggest the 5d?
which is the best camera to buy guys 5d mk2 or 7d i want to use it for video mostly

This really shows the importance of lens selection. At first I thought the bigger sensor in the 5D was showing distortion towards the outer edges of the lens, but then I realized that the lens is functionally much wider-angle on the 5D than on the 7D, so you can start to get an almost fisheye effect. Anybody who has been using a Canon DSLR with an APS-C sensor will need to reevaluate their lenses before upgrading to a full-frame camera like the 5D.
