A montage of the final three matches plus additional coverage and photos, featuring world champions Team 190 (Massachusetts Academy & WPI).

My nephew, Michael, was one of the mentors at WPI working with the high school students on this build.

Congratulations, everyone!

Alfred

  • Hi Lynk -- this is a 'speciality video', which I posted for "Team 190" and other fans of FIRST robotics. Thanks for giving it a look!

  • Hello from team 3655 The Mason Tractor Technicians

  • jestin was here

  • can't wait for 2010!

  • Aside from the fact that YOU are the real douche bag... I wouldn't get all indignant about how "unfair" WPI's robots are. As far as competitiveness is concerned 190 doesn't rank high... They've only won 2 regionals in 15 years (compare that to 254 which has won 15 regionals in 9 years)

  • Also, in your second sentence, I believe you wanted to say "190 has THE fucking WPI workshop", not "a fucking WPI workshop," as that doesn't make sense. Also, in your final sentence, you used a double negative, and you should never end a sentence with simply 'that', as it is poor structure. Please brush up on your English, Jacob. It's embarrassing. The vulgar language in the comment also echos a bad reflection on you as an individual. Clean it up, moving forward.

  • Jacob, the sponsor and mentor affiliation doesn't make Team 190 a bunch of douche bags (I think it's two words, not one). As with teams sponsored by NASA, Boeing, BAE, and all the other 'big guns', yes, I am sure that resources are used. But don't you see why that is so great? Without the 'big guns', the 'rest of us' don't have stellar benchmark teams to match or beat! Don't blame the gang from Mass Academy for having WPI down the block as their sponsor. It's good for all parties involved.

  • Are these actual robots, or just RC units??

  • i wish i could participate in such an exciting event awesome.

  • last years game stunk,
