Repuglican cognitive dissonance. It was Reagan who started the "deregulation" of the banking industry by initiating the de-clawing of Glass–Steagall in the 1980s on the advice of Repuglican Miltonite neo-liberals [like Allan Greenspan et al] touting the greatness of an "unregulated financial free-market".

Ignore, it was neo-liberal Repuglicans [Greenspan et al] arguing derivatives didn't need to be regulated in the late 90s.

Clearly you didn't watch enough of the documentary.

I feel sorry for American's who don't realize their Federal Reserve is owned by these banks who were given bailout money aka tax payers money. So the US borrowed the money from Federal Reserve with interest to pay the banks and other financial institutions who caused the problem themselves because they were too greedy to stop. The people shouldn't be paying period the financial institutions should be.

Someone should do a frontline style expose on frontline then lol.

Although there's a lot of strange corporate sponsors with a history, 45% of PBS funding does come from public donations. And yeah they could do better on public input.

I share your skepticism, but it mite b cool. I'll give Frontline the benefit of the doubt and judge them on the merits of their reporting.

I’ve never seen a bad report from them, their shows are always spot on. I know they they used to have Monsanto as a sponsor but they have also shown films like food inc that were very much anti-Monsanto. There’s no evidence to show that those companies are dictating what they report…
