People, Disney have optioned the rights to this series. We can't let that happen! Disney's great, but the series is described as "Sexy, Fascinating and Scary", three things that Disney CAN'T do! Disney doesn't just make kids movies, lol, they also make horror movies, and adult ones.

Disney's just known the most as a children's movie creator

@TheWinterRose101 You're thinking Walt Disney Pictures, which makes the children's movies.

Disney actually can make adult films, and has in the past.

For example, they made the Step Up movies and I am Number Four, and they've also made horror moves like Fright Night. Just because Disney has bought the rights, doesn't mean they'll use their Walt Disney studios to make it, they'll use Touchstone, or another branch, like they did for Step Up, etc.
