@kuhnhan I don't think it has to be taken out of The Partridge Family context to be considered a good song. That's just musical snobbery. If it wasn't for David's vocals and sex appeal to the ladies and wannabe like him for the boys, and Susan and Shirley's sex appeal, and the whole family concept for the kids and families, these songs would never have seen the light of day. They were written FOR this show. Most real musicians have great respect for The Partridge Family's catalog of songs.

Love you David!

This is REAL Acid rock, heavier than Pink Floyd or ANY Pschedelic band.
Man,how trippy,I'm having flashbacks to the 60's!

This song is from the Skunk episode. We actually got to see that gorgeous chest of Davids in that episode - mmmmmmmmmm

@kuhnhan - not that you're wrong in your points but you sound like the depression coming out of a black cloud. The show was great for us as kids and the music was great too - no matter who really sang behind David & Shirley.

Natalie Imbruglia's song "Torn" seems similar to parts of this song's melody.

This a well written and played song, too bad its identified with the Partridge Family. The writers and singers aren't the goofy little kids standing there with big, silly grin on their face or in the case of the little girl looking like a lobotomy patient.
The artist behind this song and other Partridge Family are real musicians. So if you can take this away from the inane show and listen to the song on its own, it quite good.

I'd have to say this is one of their "Timeless" tracks. Now, you see, this is why people had Listening Parties.

Awesome song, Wow, so refreshing to hear these songs in light of today's shit that trys to pass for music, I loved this song the video was great, the only thing inappropriate and out of place to me in this video is shirley jones outfit, its too inappropriate for those little children, it's awesome doing that, big acts should go around and sing to children with cancer, and all kinds of children and elderly and handicapped people of all ages, Carl Malone former nba player buried al little boy in
This is one of my favorite songs from the partridge family :]
