  • I have many coleus plants as well but one plant isn't doing so well. The wizard coleus. Did you take a picture of a hummingbird??

  • Yes...Ruby Throated Hummingbird.I have had a bit of trouble with the wizard coleus in the past myself.

  • Beautiful coleus plants! Going on a limb (lol) here, but was your song choice inspired by Angel Wing Coleus? :) I'm a cactus/succulant fiend. Coleus plants wouldn't do well in our conditions, unfortunately.

BTW, was that a Downy Woodpecker?

  • One of the pictures has a Downy, and the big one with the red head is a Red Bellied Woodpecker. I have learned in the past few years that all Woodpeckers love peanuts.

  • Summer is not even over & i'm planing next year. One guess what will be the main attaction? Coleus,i'm in love with all the colors.

  • So many different kinds and colors to choose from.

  • beautiful plants...wish I had luck growing them. I planted 2 this year and they are not doing well :(

  • Always lovely. :)

  • Question, where do you get the King coleus plants? Started from seed or ordered on line? I just don't have much luck with seeds.I tried ferns this year & had great luck, but can i bring in the house for winter?

  • Aww, man!! I am jealous! My plants look like crap! lol! They just don't do as well with tap water as they do with rain water, but rain is rare anymore. It is like a dessert! Maybe we will get some leftover rain up here from Tropical Storm Fay????

  • And dried corn! I caught a red-bellied stuffing corn under our roof shingles, right at the edge. I screamed at him and it hasn't happened since! ;P lol

  • I love watching this. You've done such a great job with your plants. My coleus bloomed yesterday. I didn't even know they could do that! I have alot to learn.
