The dry Australian climate keeps rust away from old cars.
There is an active Humber club in Australia, although the only Humbers you see in daily use are the Super Snipes from the 1960's.
New Zealand is the home of classic old British cars, where a lot of old British cars still grace the roads.

Looks like the one that was at the Humber/Rootes meet at Sparkford a few years back.
Didn't manage to get the MoT on my friend's dad's Mk2 in time (one binding brake, rear view mirror not fixed securely, windscreen washer inop), so it's still in storage, to this day. Not that I'd have liked its maiden voyage to be a 120-odd mile round trip... thing's like driving a landgoing barge!

Very nice example. I noticed its on British plates too, this is good as there are only 11 examples of the 1952 Humber Supersnipes left on the road. After production most were exported to Australia where they can still be found being used as everyday cars. Many were chopped up and converted to "Yutes".

This model had the big side-valve in line six of 4086 cc and about 100 bhp coupled with a 4 spd box. Large and very comfortable cars they were, and the quality of workmanship was excellent. The later models had the OHV six and 4138cc with 113 bhp.
