I will miss seeing Rosa . And acording to her the theme song was "Everything's Coming up Rosa". I and mind others will miss her.

The video I shot of Rosa playing Everything's Coming Up Roses was used on CBS Sunday Morning, yesterday, Sunday May 16, 2010. Sure was nice to see a national network cover her death. And, if you are an organist, I still publish all of her organ music. Her last piece was written in 2009!

I wonder if there is an NBC Playhouse in the sky --- !

A true class act! I have to agree somewhat with 'himiltrude806' comments below. They don't make them like Rosa anymore, Rest in peace. Your music will live on here forever.

Poor Rosa died just 2 days after the death of our sweetheart Doris Eaton Travis
and just a few months back we lost Dorothy Janis not a very good year at all.

God bless Rosa, who passed away today, 5-13-10. What a marvelous life you lived!
-
Wow! She's looking so well. She doesn't even look her age!

Just a little note here. The music heard at the beginning is a tune called "Sleepy Island," and was recorded not by Rosa, but by Quentin Maclean at the organ of the Regal, Marble Arch, London, in 1930. The wonderful photo of Rosa was taken at the Brooklyn Fox TheatreWurlitzer in about 1933.
Hats off to Miss Rio!! A wonderful spirit.

Okay, WHAT was in that liquor they were drinking back then? All these flappers and now this organist from the 20s are living so long and in great shape. I need some of that stuff. :-)
