@StevenG1953...goose pimples. What a story in itself, but I recall this song from my time as big dog" fixin to enter the sixth grade in the Fall of 71'. One year later, Summer 72', this Chicago native, moved with my family to Cocoa Beach, Florida. I walked the few blocks from homw to the beach every day that summer. I have made Tennesse the most visited state since then, visiting an older brother in Chattanooga. Small world!

Has it been forty years? Does not matter one bit. They absolutely nailed it. The harmonies and melodic changes still make me smile...and want to hear it again.

1971 - I was twelve years old, growing in Northwest New Jersey (Mountain Lake - Warren County). enjoying life, swimming in the summer, ice skating in the winter. Life was so uncomplicated at that time.... And this music was uncomplecated too.....

Rings bings back so many wonderful memories for me, I was listening to it in Tennessee on Aug 1, 1971 and ran into a car from Illinois. Met the family in it, and their 17 year old daughter, Debbie. It was love at first sight for both of us. We talked on the phone everyday for 2 weeks . I met them in Orlando, Fla. after that. We dated a couple of times and got married on Aug. 30, 1971. We went to Jettys Park every time we could. We loved the beach. Still together. I love you Deb, Steve.

@wanative57 71 was my 1st yr. of H.school too.Went to work at my uncle's horse ranch that yr.taking tourist on horseback tours of Chickamauga National Military Park (Civil War).Probably my best summer EVER(yet?).
Good to see some of us old folks still "truckin" HaH!
