President Obama Awards the Blackhorse Regiment the Presidential Unit Citation

What began during the last administration was finalized on this day. A well deserved recognition for these fine soldiers. Other actions such as this, perhaps on a smaller scale, happened almost daily in Vietnam. This award is very meaningful to all the other heroes who could not be honored this day. The soldiers of the Blackhorse Regiment took good care of their fellow troopers and any other American or allied unit in harms way. Proud to have served with the 11th Armored Cavalry .1968-1968. ALLONS !

Too bad it came about 40 years too late for some of the guys.  I remember that we were advised not to wear our uniforms home when I got out of the army because the war protesters might attack us.
