Sorry for responding to this post at 7 months past, but you made excellent points here, about jesus saying only heathens want to know the future, yet the bible is all about telling us of the future! It tells us of a horrific future as a threat, then tells us how we must submit and obey, in order to be saved!

This doesn't sound like the mentality of a loving, compassionate god, but instead, greedy, power hungry men who wanted to control their people, and it works, even today.

Since many believe that satan has powers over us and is able to influence man to do commit sin, why does a compassionate, loving god allow such an "adversary" to wield such powers over man, who is so much weaker than this satan? In fact, when satan rebelled, why did god send him to Earth and give him power over us?

If there was any truth to psychic abilities, if there was one person who could demonstrate his psychic powers, then that person could win a million dollars from Randi, who has offered the money to anyone who can demonstrate their psychic abilities under controlled conditions. To date no one has been able to do it.

In order to accept ones's clam, they'd have to be able to demonstrate their abilities repeatedly. No one has ever done that.

The bible says many things which aren't true. Prayer is one

@SWELLisAcoolWORD yes, I know what he's saying, but as far as I'm concerned believing in the Bible word for word the way this guy does makes zero sense, and psychics are using neither god's nor satan's power because they're just engaging in an elaborate party trick

@KoolKinchishKat The point he's making is that he has trust in God and is merely acknowledging that phycic power is real, and is saying it's Satans power not Gods. Believing something exists is different to trusting in it to benifit you. Like I believe that drinking energy drinks gives you energy, but I don't trust them, I'd rather build natural healthy energy by regular exercise.

i do not share your beliefs re the bible etc however psychics are a disgrace who prey on the vulnerable and offer no evidence at all that what they do is genuine
