  • I'm just 16, but i know whats happening to this world and the music we listen to. The real music is old country. Hearing modern day music makes me angry and sad.

  • LOL, dude, I'm a bit younger than you (13) and I agree with with you for the most part. Most Modern Music is just.... fail. Nickleback is probable the only GREAT band today.

Any who; Hawkshaw Hawkins, Johnny Horten, Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Creedence Clearwater Revival, Queen, Survivor, etc are People/Bands that make REAL music.

    Thanks for the comment!

  • @aceofhicks I love artists like Johnny Cash, Merle Haggard, Wilie Nelson, Hank Williams SR, Patsy Cline, Tanya Tucker, George Jones and Loretta Lynn. Which basically falls into the same categories as the people you just wrote, but those are MY FAVS!! And can't forget Reba and George Strait!

  • The words weren't included, but I remember Dad playing this in the 40's as well as a loy of others. If you check, it's from the British Isles, but iy was readily acceptable to the colonists. Jim Fraser

  • Excellent cover of a great Jimmie Driftwood song.

  • Wow, I am glad to see young people who are not caught up in the new music to the point they cannot listen to great old songs like this. I am Heartened. my hat's off to you and your parents.

  • fuckin a to the pevious comment!

  • Lovely - finally tracked this down on a compilation CD a few years ago. One of the wonderful old songs.
