  • I have not seen any statutes that provide citizens must inform and give up their firearms upon interaction with cops. So, if this is true, then it would be 'department procedure' for them to take your weapon at best. Is there any statute that says citizens must comply with procedures? With all of the unlawful police shootings taking place lately (not in NH particularly) I am rather reluctant to relinquish my firearm to anyone.

  • Can I use EdgeAscension to scale federal buildings? :P

  • So much for "Free State". Fascist, draconian laws and rules are everywhere... cancerous to our civil liberty!!!

  • Not sure about NH laws regarding "must inform" police regarding possession of a firearm, but openly carrying a firearm is not probable cause for a "Terry Stop" or to seize one's property. Allowing somebody else to remove or replace a firearm from a holster on your person is dangerous like you wouldn't believe.

  • Acts and Statutes are in fact law, they only become law when you agree to be governed by them and a cop has to ask permission to have power over you on the matter, by simply asking 'do you understand?' as 'understand' is legal language for stand under ... so what they ar saying is... 'do you stand under me?'

  • Is there some reason or law the chief took her pistol? I havent seen police take possession of a firearm in any other NH stops on video.

  • Steer clear of Deerfield. They are looking for fast cash, any way, any how. Purple car? You'll get pulled over.

  • Ok tough guy, you asshole.

  • The pigs will find out I have a gun if and when I need to defend myself.

  • I wrote this under Lumpy's account because he was logged in and I was to lazy to log him out and log back in under my name. =) just to clarify.

  • Some states have a non-compliance law with unlawful orders from police (or unlawful arrest), but I don't think NH is one of those states sadly but this would be a nice thing to change. Now if a police officer gives you a completely illegal and unlawful order I would not suggest complying as you might face more trouble than not complying. But if you are given a lawful order, and you fail to comply even if your right you will most likely face jail time.
