Spotting at Flying W Airport
Lumberton, New Jersey
Monday September 1, 2008

IN THIS VIDEO, watch as I manage to catch quite a few takeoffs from Runway 1 at Flying W Airport (N14). I was hoping to see more activity in the span of the hour that I was there, and I did, but since all operations were on 1, I decided not to shoot landings. I'm still getting used to the camera, and I think I know what I'm doing in all aspects of it and should be ready to go for NAS Oceana's Airshow.

If you are interested in purchasing DVDs of specific aircraft or of airshows, interested in everything related to airshows (where the jet teams will be, all airshow performers, airshow reports from airshows I have attended, previews of airshows I will be attending, etc.), and/or everything related to aviation - including spotting guides to my favorite airports and military bases and aircraft factfiles, please check out Steve's Airshow World at http://www.stevesairshow.com .

  • @Scote1992 - That's a Cessna 177B.

  • @Scote1992 N12782 at 2:55 is a 1975 Cessna 177B

You can find the specifics on FAA's web site.

  • what was that at 2:55?

  • Hi there Fotisaiki , I understand exactly what you mean, i got my private there also in '95 . Those trees made for some interesting landings on windy days . Still flying?.

  • wow nice vid

  • I got my Private over there summer of 1995.After so many years to see Flying W it's so coooolllll. Thanks for the video.

  • Lol. I don't really mind military helicopters but other than that they get annoying here in Ohio as well.

  • No offense to the chopper pilots but they annoy me because of the slow pattern and strange approach they fly, As a student at the Flying W they can get irritating.

  • Yes it is

  • cool vid :-)
