Here's a guitar-playing non-yodeling version of Taylor Ware!

The video was recorded in July 2007 when Taylor was 12. She had only played this larger guitar a few times, but she used it for this show because it had a built-in sound hookup and didn't need a mic. Her 'normal' guitar is smaller.

Nobody knows where this song came from, if anyone sees Taylor, please ask her!

Lyrics are incomplete, but here they are, thanks to 'mouravieff66', 'veepie' and 'Buiubrasil ' for helping me with this. Unknown words are between ?question marks?...

I'm into cornbread, tattoos, rocking chairs and weird hairdoos
In the choir I love to sing, I want a belly button ring
I'm into ?porkchops?, lear jets, antiques on the internet
I got Patsy Cline on mp3, and classic films on dvd.

Cause I'm an old school girl living in a brand new world
A perfect blend of what was in, and what's right now
It is plain to see I'm a dichotomy
Just an old school girl living in a brand new world.

I'm into Brando, Tom Cruise, I wish Kid Rock would sing Hey Jude
Grandmas cooking is the bomb, doing crafts is oh so fine.

Cause I'm an old school girl living in a brand new world
A perfect blend of what was in, and what's right now
It is plain to see I'm a dichotomy
Just an old school girl living in a brand new world.

It's not like I'm from two different times, it's not like I can't choose
It's not like I can't make up my mind, it's just that I don't have to.

Cause I'm an old school girl living in a brand new world
A perfect blend of what was in, and what's right now
It is plain to see I'm a dichotomy
Just an old school girl living in a brand new world!

  • Thanks ,veepie! I have some suggestions :

1)want a belly batting ring - I think she said" want a belly button ring"

    2) Grandmas cooking is the bomb, ..... ...... . is oh so fine. ( In this part I think I heard " and doing crafts is oh so fine" or maybe " and doing crafts is also fun"?? dont know...

  • @Buiubrasil ; @veepie Thanks for helping with the lyrics. I looked at what you both wrote, and listened to the video about 15 times, and I've got the lyrics as close as I can get them - I still don't understand a few words at the very beginning. Maybe someone else has a better ear?

I added the lyrics to the video description.

  • @mantyme I'm pretty sure she sings 'I,ve got Patsy Cline on mp3 and classic films on dvd'. Patsy Cline being the famous60's country singer. Hope this helps.

  • @mouravieff66 That makes a lot of sense, thanks!! I corrected the lyrics, and gave you credit. All that's left now is one set of question marks, we've almost got it all! :)

  • @mantyme I don't want to complicate matters but the second line sounds to me like - 'In the choir I love to sing, the one about a (baton ring ?)'. I'm sure I hear 'the' as in 'the one', rather than 'I' as in 'I want a' and I also hear an 'ow' sound as in 'about,' rather than an 'e' sound as in 'belly'. Although that could just be Taylor's accent.

But I can't think of an alternative to 'baton ring' that would make sense in the context of the song, so I guess you're version is probably correct.

  • @mouravieff66 Thanks! Lol, I must have now listened to this part 1,000 times, and I'm still not 100% sure. But I hear 'I wanna belly button ring' which makes sense, because I think most American teens/young adult women now have a pierced navel. But you may be correct about 'porkchops', I changed the lyrics but left the question marks, since the word seems strange for the song. I wish the audio was better, or we had another recording of this song. Thanks for your help!

  • Yeah she got amazing talent. But sadly god does not exist.

  • Rocking good!

  • Your yodeling is beautiful

  • Your beautiful to bad ur like two years older than me

  • @mantyme I've listened again and the word you have between question marks sounds to me like 'porkchops', which seems a bit weird, but as she's already made one food reference in the song I guess it's possible.

  • IN my opinion we are realy luck ppl that seen this lttle girl singing so beatiful
