The family of lawyer Benjamin Pinpin refuted claims that coercion led to the his August suicide during an executive session of a senate inquiry.

The lawyers death sparked the Senate inquiry into a questionable loan granted by his employer, Development Bank of the Philippines, to a firm of businessman Roberto Ongpin.

The December 6, 2011 Senate inquiry ended early to give the the Pinpin family time to talk to Senators behind closed doors.

Sen. Serge Osmeña, chairman of the Committee on Banks, Financial Institutions and Currencies, gives Move.ph exclusive insights into that executive session.

  • I know this all along. Those officers of DBP charged with the anomaly used the suicide just to divert attention. Offenso.e ginawa nila, hindi defense to what they are charged, Haha, bulok na style ny
