  • Are tickets free on the weekends? I went there in Jan and asked around for help and directions, the security there on the station told me to go downstairs to get a ticket but after I got the ticket.. i simply walked on the rail and sat down.

Was I supposed to insert the ticket somewhere or something? I could have gotten on easily for free if I didn't ask anyone ..so that was quite odd imo.

  • @Caprican28 The system is proof of payment. Fare inspectors will board the train at various points along the line at various times. If you don't have proof of payment, you are subject to a $124 fine.

  • does the ticket machine take cash or only credit card?

  • Very cool, I am writing a report about light rail to airport connections and one of the key elements is the station distance from the terminal. I had thought that it looked kind of far, so thankfully it seemed like planners did a good job of funneling people towards where the station is.

  • @rbesco55 Yes, it's quite easy, just make sure to buy your ticket before boarding. If you are planning on riding buses or streetcars while in Seattle, it can be advantageous for you to pick up an ORCA card ahead of time. You can get one online or at the ticket vending machine.

There are spaces underneath some of the seats where you can store your luggage. Also, there is an area for bicycles and luggage that is available on a first come, first served basis.

  • @CookieGuru yikes, ok thanks.
