  • We are taking her to the doctor today to see if we can get a surgery booked asap, since we are very affraid that it might get strangled, but we depend on the Brazilian Public Health System, and it might take a few months.

Is there anything we could prevent her from doing meanwhile so her hernia does not get really bad?

    Any other recomendations?

    Thanks a lot!

  • You can follow your normal behaviour because the hernia has a natural history and stranglation is more lower than you expect.

  • Hello Doctor. Thank you for the video.

My 3-year-old daughter has hernia. We found that out about 4 days ago, when as my wife was giving her a bath she saw a volume, sort of a tumescence on the uper right side of her genital.

    She said it hurt too.

Her pediatrician said she had umbilical hernia, for her belly has always been a little protuberant.

  • I suggest you to get an examination by a pediatric surgeon for a right address of the bulge that seems a groin hernia and not an umbilical one

  • iyeah lol i had a huge one too.. it was like the sixe of a kiwi or lemon between those two .... reason why is because i didnt get to it for four years and also i was interning at an autoshop picking up heavy objects

  • I suggest you torepair your hernia to avoid emergency problems, in order your heavy job

  • the otherside, so he has to go in again.. Im not to sure but a few people I've heard of had- had it come back after surgery.

  • I' just went in for a pre op yesterday, I'll be going on December 22nd for surgery.

They said it should take about an hour and a half for the surgery and than 4 hours after Ill have to stay in the hospital to make sure I'm fine, than after that Ill be able to go home. They also said that it should be about a week or two for healing time, and shouldnt cause that much pain.

There was also this guy in for the pre op too. For the same thing he had surgery for a hernia before but it popped out on

  • @DeathToISLAM666 HEY! how have you recovered? If one like yourself who had a big hernia could recovered completely, that would be great news! I'm assuming all recovery has halted at this point, could you give me a percentage of how successful your recovery was? 100% being perfect (don't notice it and can do anything without it getting in the way or causing pain). Thanksss

  • @Renato4u2 make sure she doesn't stand for long periods of time, cough too hard, push too hard in the bathroom or lift anything over 45lb. gl
