my guinea pig is from Petco and our Petco is HUGE! Every animal has a giant cage and i havent seen 1 hurt/sick animal there. My friend works there and people always say

"the dying animals are left in the back"

thats NOT TRUE

They have an onsite veterinarian to care for each animal.The vet comes in and treats the animals and humanely euthanizes any animal that cant be saved.

I dont know what Petco/smart your going to but ive seen some amazing places that CARE for their animals!

so... if you knew the sand was bad for them... why did you put them in the sand anyways?... you're just as bad as petco, imo.and im not stickin up for petco or any commercial pet place that sell animals in mass quanities with limited space. i always look up about what animal i want to have and prepare for AT LEAST a month. i dont impulse buy. thats how you kill innocent animals...

petco is a bad animal place i feel bad for the reptiles their i cant even count how many times i seen a dead gecko fuck petco i told the manager to go fuck herself and get a boob job because she was sagin because she woudnt let me buy a gecko that needed help, so dont buy so fuck petco go to a breeder or craigslist.

I saw about five ball pythons in a 10 gallon at a petco and they looked pretty sick but other than that I never really saw any other flaws but this is just one petco I dont know how bad the others could have been

@Shana4994 every pet shop i know is the same way with ther animals. they might have a good display but you never know how is on the back. and you shouldnt avoided just chain petstores but every pet store think on rescuing first. unless you buying suplies..
