On this day, March 19, 2011, the moon is the closest it's been to the planet earth in 18 years. It will be 30% brighter, and 14% larger than a normal full moon. This phenomenon is known as a super moon which has a huge influence on tidal effects worldwide!

  • Yeah, it's the biggest wave I've ever seen on PetitCodiac since 1968 !

  • Interesting. I think the one in the Shubenacadie River is bigger especially if you're in the right place.

  • Wedgem channel is for the true tidal bore enthusiast. The one and only channel created for true bore whores! You don't have to go anywhere's else.

  • Wow, that is getting bigger every day!

  • I know this was a big tide, but even so, your bore/mascaret is definitely improving. Thanks.

  • Wow.

  • J'peux pas espairer qu'ils rouvent les gates du cosway de nouveau!!! Yay nature!
