were is the ice caps there is no detail and its not like yours is a little telescope you be able to see them

My 6 tear old just got a used Tasco
302045 telescope. "I" have to show him how to use it. It is a 30 to 90 zoom. Will I see any planets with this thing. If so , How do you find a planet? thks.

Yes, you can see Jupiter and the four moons and rings of Saturn not in closeup but you can see them, There are also other targets that are easy to see throu small telescopes like Andromeda galaxy very faint in your telescope, and the Orion Nabula and many other objects in the sky. I recomend that you download free software like Stellarium so that you can lurn the night sky, then you can find thease objects by your self. You can use google to find it. (sorry for my English)
