  • Why not get your arm in the way of the camera a little more?

  • These straps are efficient. Here is the easiest quick tie boat docking device on the market. It's the only tie down that quickly sets the height of the boat fender and ties the boat off all with one rope. No knots required and when out on the water it serves as a tie down for inner tubes, igloos, use it as a clothesline or chain boats together. See BuoyRope

  • The "Yachtie Hitch": Used to compensate for the under-sized cleats installed on all modern boats. If the cleats were properly sized you would use three figure 8 turns that are secure yet can be cast off quickly.

  • Dude 86 the CC. You can't see the knot. I mean you could have tied your shoelaces around it for all we know.

  • You don't "cross over twice" and then pass under.

You're doing a "figure 8" which is the classic newbie move.

You cross once, and then tuck under the next -- a "half 8 with a tuck" if you will.

A clean cleat knot will have to parallel lines over the cleat, and the last crossing over the top of them.

  • That is nice, but confusing. Take a look at ez CLEAT, and tell me what you think.

  • A true cleat hitch will not pass under the original horn twice-the second pass is over the horn and then turn under and back

  • thanks a lot i was having trouble with those knots

  • tbh, you shouldn't advise this for every cleat knot.

if it's a cleat knot that's going to be put under a lot of pressure, you dont want to finish the knot off like that

  • the most usefull knot
