It sucks to be old. For those working, an $80 traffic ticket is a damn nuisance. For the elderly on limited income, $80 is a month's food allocation, or a needed trip to the doctor, or a significant portion of the rent. A court might reduce the amount, but most states make that process extremely burdensome and will often only reduce slightly ($60 instead of $80, for example). In the meantime, others whine about the elderly being angry & bitter. No shit?

@light333 feel sorry for me? for telling the truth? by not being manipulated by media and police? Most people know cops are just mafia working for attorneys and gov to get gain in the name of safety. Im talking county employees on average make 75000 a piece plus benefits in my county, The county commissioner was talking to me about it just yesterday, he s not happy that the rest of the county has to rough it.

@vidarjens Then I feel sorry for you, for you are a truly sad adult. I would have forgiven you if you were kid, because many kids have a skewed vision of police officers. But as an adult, you should know better... That is, if you are telling the truth about your age... :). State Troopers have a little different pay-scale, but like I said, it depends on how long they have been on the force, which you seemed to have ignored. The system has its flaws, but its pretty fair overall.
