  • I would get annoyed with all these flashy things in your case. Looks so crap

  • @CorssairTF2 Actually making a flashy computer paid off. Go look @ computerpoweruser dut com and pull up the Oct issue. My computer is on the front cover and on page 40-41 which I got 1500 cash and over 2000K in free hardware.

  • @Elmnator1 Grats on that. Thing is I've seen tons of systems without lights and just for ME they are way better looking. No offence ofc mate.

Tell me, Im about to buy a computer and I cannot decide between one single 27" 120hz monitor and 3 24" Dell IPS monitors (both options about same price). The thing Im afraid about Eyefinity is that my new PC will start strugling quicker on that huge resolution. When FullHD would last for way longer time.

    Is Eyefinity really worth it?

  • @CorssairTF2 The new Asus 120Hz monitor with Lightboost Technology is a badass monitor. Should be out in a few weeks or so. But you should buy a Nvidia card if you do... at least a 570/580. If you are doing Eyefinity I would suggest 2 6970's. Just to let you know BF3 struggles a tad with 2 6970's If you have the money you should do a 6990 and a 6970 for Trifire. I have 2 6970's right now and I have to turn down to medium/high to get decent frame rates. Those Dell IPS monitors are a good choice.

  • Oh god

dude i have an HD 5850 with eyeinfinity, but only a 3.2Ghz processor, will it be enough for 3 monitors and max settings??

i just read your i7 is running at 4.2Ghz and I was like O_o

  • @nachcozz with you running at 3.2 and a 5850 you will struggle a little bit but it wont be terrible .. if your running eyefinity you should maybe get 40 frames .. U might have to turn down some of the graphic settings

  • @ILiekSteakZz Yeah I've heard that before. But its usually from people that can't afford this kind of system. It isn't like im running a hack to do this. It works this way out of the box. The technology is available to everyone. So its not a hack. It just means I can afford it ....

  • How would I go about building a rig to support this?

  • uuggh..

  • @Elmnator1 Asus monitor is already out mate. Generally what I was planning to do with a single monitor was to use 580SLI. When Eyefinity came as an additional option I told myself that Im gonna use 3x6950 or 6990+6950@70.

That's not good mate, I mean changing settings to high/medium. Im a highest settings fanboy unfortunately, but eyefinity seems so cool...

Im so confused, gonna buy PC today but I dunno what to go for...

  • @ThePeiceofgrass

If you're starting from scratch I'd recommend an i5 2500(k) the k is 10 bucks more but only difference is it's overclockable. For gpu you could get a 6870, or anything above (6950, 6970, 6990), nvidia wise I'd recommend a 570 or up (580, 590). That's the barebones, everything else is preference mostly, but if you have any questions just message me.

  • @RaiUbros it still only shows exactly the same stuff as with 1 monitor......

  • you should put up like upto 20 monitors in a circle and sit in the middle to play it...just so that you can see your back even when your looking straight in the game ahaha lol
