If you've ever come into our store, you already know we a large selection of pool cues. In fact, Billiards and Darts Direct has San Diego's largest selection of pool cues. Best of all, you can come into the store and try any of them out to see how they really perform. Of course, not everybody can come into our store, so we've created a series of Gear Overview videos where we show you a close up look at the various pool cues we stock.

The cue in this video is a Predator Sport Cue. As you can see this is a black cue. It has a rubber grip which makes it super tacky (in a good way). The rubber grip makes it very easy to grip even for those with sweaty hands. It's very nice to play with.

The cue is made from a Maple wood and features the famous Predator 314 shaft. It's a laminated shaft which Predator is world renowned for. They essentially create 10 pie-shaped wedges and glue them all together. This creates a perfect, man-made grain. This alone is one of the best reasons to buy a Predator cue.

The shaft is hollowed out at the top with foam filled into it in the top inch or so. The foam helps to reduce deflection. The shaft is a 12.75mm shaft. In play, you'll find that it hits very good and feels great in your hand. The whole cue just has an overall solid feel.

  • hi brandon whats your opinion on falcon cues?

  • @geniustripod Falcon cues are great cues. I'd put them in the same category as McDermott cues. Good solid cues.

  • We've been considering the Mezz cues for a while now. If there is significant demand, we're certainly open to it. Thanks for the comment.
