@july7nyc you are new to the city, YOU feel fear and on edge, but most people do not feel that way at all. I don't know that the National Guard and bomb-sniffing dogs in the subways are effective in preventing another terrorist attack and I don't think it's normal for most cities in the US, but it IS now normal for NYC. Whether that "normal" means "rational" is a different debate. NYC is not a "normal" city either so it's not going to be the same as other cities no matter what.

I live in NYC but I grew up in Italy and I have traveled to the Middle East. I was here for 9/11 @ the WTC and stayed there until the following day. When I lived in Italy, I had a friend who was shot and killed by a terrorist attack at the airport. She was 11 years old. I had a lot of PTSD stuff going on after 9/11, but I am OK now. I ride the subway every day and I don't feel fear and I don't see anyone else that looks afraid or on edge. Most people are half asleep. I think maybe because

CAN ANYONE HERE TELL ME WHO CARRIED OUT THE MOST RECENT SUICIDE BOMBING IN THE U.S.? JOEL HENRY HINRICHS--a TIMOTHY McVEIGH WANNABE WHO BLEW HIMSELF UP OUTSIDE A FULL FOOTBALL STADIUM at THE UNIVERSITY OF OKLAHOMA in 2005---A WHITE GUY! BUT THE MEDIA DIDN'T COVER THAT AT ALL BECAUSE IT DIDN'T FIT IN WITH THE WHOLE 'MUSLIM EXTREMIST' NARRATIVE THAT THEY'RE COOKING UP AND SERVING ON A DAILY BASIS. WAKE UP, FUCKTARDS! DON'T BELIEVE WHAT THE CORPORATE-BOUGHT MEDIA IS FEEDING YOU!

What the hell, guards in the subways carry large guns? I've never heard of this. The only places I've ever been where the guards carry anything more than a concealed hand gun are all in Africa. So yeah that sounds very alarming to me.

(cont.) So, I don't believe we have won; nor, that the terrorists have won for that matter. It's still unresolved, but it doesn't seem to me there can be any clear winners or losers. It's just a struggle on all sides.
Nervousness, anxiety, heightened security, terrorism, fear,...these all go hand in hand and are conditions stemming from the modern world we now live in.

I've read that the number one factor determining terrorism is occupation, not religion. That is, on the whole, the one thing in common that terrorists are likely to share is that they have come from an occupied country.
I'm not one to say anyone deserves to lose their life or that the attackers where vindicated. But I think 911 was probably a long time coming and was the consequence of decades of globalization.

As an outsider (I'm from New Zealand), I don't claim to know all the details, but that said, the US is not portrayed well, and not just in terms of the terrorist attacks. The message I get is that the US kept poking the beast and then cried foul play only after the beast decided to wake up. So the 9/11 attacks were really effective revenge and they appear to have won (or are winning).
Btw, I prefer the less angry, more measured version of Jessica.

I was really happy with the content of your videos when you were closer to 16 years old. This video is the first one where you're actually hitting on a topic but you've lost the animosity or pointed assertion of truth that was awesome in some of your other videos. Sure this could cultivate a discussion but you know how online discussions go...
In short: Get angry @angryliitlegirl
You're not "angrier" as you promised.
