Epiphone, easier to get spare parts due to the fact most retailers will sell Epiphone parts. Vintage spare parts may have to be ordered in. Dont take our word for it, go try them both out and any others you like the look of. You might find that your more of a Fender person or maybe B.C Rich.

of course gibson is better, you're saying nothing than the true. Epiphone are good guitars? Yes, Gibson are way way better and a custom guitar will only depend of who did it. Period.

of course there is no comparison. The doub always was: Is Epiphone Les Paul a good guitar? Yes it it. Is it as good as Gibson? Of course not. That's it.

It all depends on who is playing..for example if Slash was playing an epiphone while snowboard was playing a Gibson Les Paul..well you get my point people xD
Doesn't much matter who has the better guitar because if you are GOOD then you can make the cheapest guitar sound like a Gibson my friends.
