This is a cake I created for my husband's birthday - Everything is edible except for the screen, because all other edible materials would have either been too fragile or too heavy to stand upright. Next time I'll try to find an edible solution!
The cake inside was chocolate with oreo buttercream, while the actual laptop was a giant sugar cookie topped with fondant. Each button, the earphones, iphone and cords are made of fondant, while the mouse is cake covered in fondant. The cake also uses edible paper and inks for the iphone, keys and birthday message.

print out the screen image on edible rice paper. yes. it CAN be done.
