This always stopped me from beating the game.
Its so stupid how you have to fish in a sonic game.

yo can you help me out, I'm stuck on the 1st level because froggy won't bite onto the hook, what am I doing wrong?

As soon as froggy has the hook in his mouth, move the control stick up and down or left and right like crazy. Just make sure the bar doesn't go up all the way and that should work.
