Very humble, kind, and intelligent person.

He is not only a musical genius, but overall, very intelligent. I am so impressed that he is a vegetarian, and the fact that he doesn't have an iphone, or any sort of trendy gadget is so refreshing. He is so unique. LOVE him!!

(Continuing) I will say that, "Peace" would, perhaps, outdo the other songs on, "SOTU". Transitional periods are always a bit unsteady--whether consciously or unconsciously...
Mr. Gore is immensely talented. No doubt there is a fierce amount of creativity burning inside of him and I have faith he will tap into it and produce yet more exceptional songs. He is still a songwriting force to be reckoned with!
Kudos for going veg! I don't even own a cell phone! Eh--who needs one? ;) ;) ;)

@jp7284 I have to say that as a DM fan myself, I absolutely agree with you! On "SOTU," I struggle to find a song that I find especially beautiful and that touches me. I actually find a couple of the b-sides more redeemable than the songs which made the final cut.
I am an aspiring writer and a poet. I am not especially prolific and I could certainly milk out a poem or a story a day--but the quality would be very low.
I feel that Gore is merely in the midst of finding his new way.

nice interview. unfortunately i have to say one thing and point something out on what Martin says. I'm a big Depeche-fan, and when Martin says that it's now much easier to write songs 'cause he is sober..well..quantity and quality isn't the same thing! My opinion is that when he was writing less stuff, it was better quality..and now he is writing a lot, put the quality is lower. :( More isn't better..unfortunately. Those "six" songs he refers to moves me a lot more than those "22".

@ElenaP101 The interviewer says: "So it was easier for you to tap into the emotions?" and Martin says: "It was a lot easier, yes."
They are still talking about the song writing process, andd about how easy it was for Martin this time around to write so many songs.
I hope this answers your question. :)
