This Mason Risch piano (circa 1970's) was rescued at auction for ten bucks with plans to bring it back to life.

The exterior was in rough shape with quite a few chunks missing. The keyboard cover would no longer open, something nasty had been spilled inside, and a large number of the keys were stuck due to wood swelling. A black key was missing, many of the felts had been broken off and fell deep inside the piano.

From September 2010 until November 2011, I spent countless hours cleaning, sanding, fabricating, gluing, panting, applying verathane, wet sanding, cursing, and assembling this keyboard back to life.
