  • So how is your relationship with your family after they did that to you? Having you committed...

Come Monday, I might be suffering the same fate. It's a long story, but I am so sick right now, and that's the last thing I need--especially when I'm gradually becoming worse.

I'm glad things worked out for you though! :)

  • hi. sorry for the delay in responding. i sincerely hope you don't suffer the same fate. i know there are too many lymies out there who have endured something similar; it's really tragic, really maddening.

my relationship with my family is.. tenuous at best. my grandparents committed me, and now they're getting old, struggling with age/illness/alzheimer's, so it's hard to be angry at them. though i think maybe i've sublimated the anger, i'm not sure. anyway. message if you'd like to talk.

  • thanks so much JD. your story moved me, too. i would love to be friends. :)

  • I had to diagnose myself too.. so sorry you have it too.. Drs. don't listen.. they tell you you are crazy.. yes.. no one believes you .Mine hit my bladder hard.. yup.. all the same symptoms.. Igenex is the only one that really gives you a good diagnoses.

They think just a simple course of antibiotics will cure it.. NO it will not.. My current doctor does not believe in chronic lyme.. sad. False negs are the problem.

  • Please send an email to PBS and thank them for agreeing to air the Lyme documentary: Under Our Skin. This film is set to air next month. From what I am hearing, the IDSA is trying to stop PBS from showing this film. Please guys, let PBS know how much you appreciate them showing this remarkable documentary about Lyme disease. Go to the PBS website. Once there, click on: Contact Us next click on: Contact Your Local PBS Station. God bless

  • You are an amazing young lady. God Bless you. I am 40 and going through much of the same as you described minus being committed. It is terrifying at my age. I can't even imagine what this was like for someone your age. I still have not been diagnosed and only know what is making me ill because of ppl like you who have shared their stories. With all my heart I send love to you. Thank You! Shanda

  • Thank you for sharing..Im sorry for the pain u had to go through on all levels. Im newly diagnosed with lyme..in process of trying to treat it. Was happy to hear of Igenix, seems hard to find places who give u a proper blood work report. Heard that Teasel root tincture (its from a certain kind of thistle) has cured some people, also worm wood, and other herbs. Ozone treatment has cured others..thats the best I got out of my research so far..maybe it will help some. Best wishes to you!

  • '

why NO closed captioned on this video about lyme disease,,,

i want to read this closed captioned on this video

  • Funny how so many of us are from Wi, yet still Drs here deny that there is lyme here. I had one Dr tell me there is no documentated cases here. I just got up and walked out. It took me 15 years to get diagnosed. I hope you are getting better and can lead a functional life!

  • Thanks for sharing your story. You really went through hell, I am sure, with being sent to the mental hospital. You are a survivor and your gift is giving this information to others who can learn and be helped by you.

I think you are amazing for having been able to diagnose yourself while the doctors could not.
