This is my go to kid friendly egg bake. Pretty easy recipie and it tastes great. You can make it the night before so you can take your morning easy! You can make it with sausage, bacon, or what we do to use up lunchmeat is use that...ham or turkey is great! Enjoy! Pofta Buna and Bon appetite! :)

  • I'm in the UK and never heard of this! Sounded fabulous and easy though so gave it a go last night and ate today. It was delicious and my 22 month old boy ate a whole dish full. We'll definitely be having it more often! My parents came round later in the day so I made some for them and they loved it too so going to be making themselves for themselves and their children :)

  • @dbd240902 Yay! I am glad you guys liked it- and your little boy too :)

  • is it supposed to be crunchy or soft in the middle like french toast?? i just made some and the top looks done, but the center of the bread pieces are soft :o

  • @Foostache the middle is kinda soft and eggy..(not runny or slimy though) the top in the video may have been a tad crunchy...I prob. could have taken it out earlier.. I hope it was delish! :)

  • could you change this to make more of a French Toast version? My family doesn't eat much meat.....

  • @hollyewc I think that is a great idea- I think I will try it sometime as a sweet and not savory- I think I'll half it and then instead of meat and cheese I'll put in some vanilla and cinnamon..hmm maybe some nuts(well prob. not the kids don't like that) you could add pretty much anything you'd put in a regular french toast dish for variety..fruit or chocolate..umm. after baking you could put on syrup or powdered sugar... whoever tries it first tells the other if it was good or not um-k? :)
