@lebarosky That is not an accurate observation at all. This is recorded with a hand held recorder and says everything about the quality of sound you allude to. Browne still has the same quality of voice he has always had. See him live I suggest
I don't know how to describe the degree of respect and admiration I have for these two artists. I love their work, and this is one of their best if not their best work together. But Mr. Browne's voice is gone. He is basically getting by on technique here. His technique is superb, but he has little to work with. So if a reviewer pointed that out, it is hard to fault that. I am glad he is still working, but things are not what they once were.
Clyde Browne....bak at Sunny Hills High (Fullerton Ca) a cpl friends said "lets go see Jackson's pic in one of the old yearbooks...there he was, a little runt of a sophmore in 64'. my neighbors big sis was there the same few years...said he had his guitar with him at all times, played occasionally at parties...I grew up in Coyote Hills where he must of walked n thought.."Lookin back at the years gone by like so many summer fields..)
Yes, a quiete performance - how lovely. Eine ruhige Szene - in diesen hektischen und lauten Zeiten. Two musicians and 2 guitars whatelse does the audience need - lovely
I saw the show in Boston. Jackson's voice was almost gone. I was in the front row center, he gave everything he had to give us his very best. And he did. There is never a bad show.. Whether its a solo show or friends... he always blesses us, Thanx for posting
@augustwest4558 There were bad reviews on this show which I found almost impossible to understand. I was in the 11th row just a few days earlier in St.louis. It was by far one of Jackson's best shows ever. I have seen him well over thirty times in my life. David Lindley and he opened with about five acoustic songs which sounded great. I do like the more tempo for Looking East, but the show.... it only got better from there. Was one for the memory bank for sure. Love Ya Jackson and Dave
