The recording that Oscar refers to is an absolutely amazing collaberation between Oscar and Nelson Riddle. It is an lp on the Verve label and was recorded sometime in the early 60's. This song and Come Sunday make the album a true collector's item. Such warmth and expression are priceless. God Bless you Oscar. I miss you,

I was actually looking for a recorded live version of Goodman doing it but this will more than "do". lol Thanks.

I think my favorite O.P. tune is whichever one I happen to be listening to at the time.

this is such a beautiful piece, I think this is my first time hearing oscar play something like this - is there more?

This is one beautiful piece yes - but my all time from my Mentor Oscar will always be Hymn To Freedom, his anthem as far as I'm concerned. But yes - this is just incredible isn't it!

That was an absolutely incredible comment my friend, and I cannot agree more. Out of this world.
Thanks Oscar. Wish you were still here.

For me, the best music is the music that defies my analytical reflex. I hear Oscar Peterson play and my ears barricade themselves from my brain. Unbelieveable.
