This is the first song I finished after learning how to use Famitracker.

I haven't played this game so much, actually, just some times over a friend's house, 'cause I don't own a PS3 or a XBOX360. But I liked its gameplay, and mainly the enhanced 8-bit soundtrack by Anamanaguchi, which attracted me since I watched the trailer for the game.

This remake is based on the trailer version of Rock Club (fun fact: the actual OST version of this song differs from the one used in the trailers), because I think this version has a cool harmony, with some melodic electric guitars that are easier to recreate in Famitracker.

Scott Pilgrim is (C) Bryan Lee O' Malley
Scott Pilgrim Vs. The World: The Game is (C) Ubisoft

  • Hey I have a question,

How did you add new channels to the song. For instance: you're only supposed to have ONLY ONE square #1 and square #2, but yet you have four of them.

In other words, how did you add the extra "square" instruments?

    Thanks in advance

  • @4nthos I used a module with a MMC5 expansion chip, which adds 2 square channels nearly identical to the internal ones. Just go in Modules > Module Properties, and in Expansion Chip, change it to Nintendo MMC5

Now I imagin this game on SNES ! It would be awesome !

  • @atomickid It's Famitracker! It's perfectly duplicates NES sound hardware. It's literally as 8-bit as you can possibly get.
