2012 Dodge Avenger R/T announced for NY debut

Dodge has released the first details about the Avenger R/T, ahead of its debut at the New York Auto Show.
Designed to appeal to younger drivers, the R/T is distinguished by a body-color grille, tined headlights, and exclusive 18-inch alloy wheels. Inside, the cabin is outfitted with fabric/leather sport seats, a Boston Acoustic sound system, and a revised instrument cluster with a center-mounted tachometer.
Power comes from a 3.6-liter V6 engine that produces 283 hp (211 kW / 287 PS) and 260 lb-ft (352 Nm) of torque. It is mated exclusively to a six-speed automatic transmission, which enables the car to have a fuel economy rating of 19 mpg city / 29 mpg highway.
While none of this sounds terribly exciting, Dodge says the car offers "exceptional driving dynamics" thanks to a sport-tuned suspension with stiffer spring rates and a larger rear stabilizer bar.
No word on pricing, but look for the 2012 Avenger R/T to start arriving at dealerships shortly.

Test drove this last week and it was one, if not the best sedan that I have ever driven. Dodge if you read these slate a half year model with an optional 6 speed. That is the ONLY downfall to this vehicle! Mopar FTW
