Part of an interview with Steve Jansen and Richard Barbieri from late 80's. Sorry about the low quality but it was rescued from a dusty old videotape! Might anyone have a better copy they could post? I've also posted a complete version of the interview with improved audio. Check it out.

  • a fantastic document....thanks for sharing!!!

  • Just posted the whole segment with slightly improved audio. Take a look. Somebody must have a better version of this!

  • Apologies for the poor quality of this clip. The sound is especially bad but as there doesn't seem to be any Dolphin Brothers clips on youtube at all I thought somebody might find it interesting. If anyon has a better copy of the entire interview, please post it!

  • I see you put down mid 90s, the Album came out 1987, so I would think the interview was 1987 ish, could be worng though

  • Check out the whole interview I just posted.

  • This is from 1987. I remember staying up late to catch the interview. The guy hosting the show is Simon Potter and the show was called Transmission which was on defunct music channel, Music Box.

  • DOLPHIN BROTHERS ROCK!!!!!!

  • I read an interview with Jansen recently and he distances himself from the Dolphin Brothers record somewhat. There are a few good songs on it. I love the first (title) track with that amazing drum pattern throughout and the wild wind instrument solo near the end. Anybody know what that might be? A little like the Uillean pipes. The bassist from Blue Nile plays on a few tracks also.

  • i went out and bought catch the fall in 87. anything related to japan. superb.

  • Dolphin Brothers were such a great pop project...great album...

  • thanks for posting this, I'm a very busy nobody who still listens to these daily on mp3, a very happy nobody..
