This is the final song that Lift to Experience performed at their 11-20-01 Glasgow show at King Tut's. It is, to my knowledge, the only circulating recording of post-Crossroads material by the band. All of Josh's solo material has been excellent, but at some point, he really needs to finish what he started with Lift. The recording was made by someone who identifies himself as GPark1uk. The photo of Josh is from Stevie Chick's website, and I assume he took it.

  • @bto166 Yes, that's true. Andy Young was the recipient, and he later auctioned the boot on Ebay. However, that was a long time ago, and they have since reconciled. Andy was the drummer in Josh's band a couple of years ago when he was opening for my bloody valentine. I got to see one of those shows; Josh had some excellent new heavy songs that for some reason he has not played since that tour.

  • I heard awhile back that he sent a boot (an actual cowboy boot) to the other members of the band. As to "Give them the boot" when they split ways.

  • @theealex I know what you mean, but as long as they remain unreleased, that means that the band is not necessarily over for good, that those songs are still being viewed as "works in progress." I believe that one day Lift will regroup and the planned second and third albums will materialize.

  • I wish there was a way to hear the sessions for the aborted second album...
