D.C. metro is ok......but I went to Washington to see a Phillies@Nationals game, and after the game we missed the first blue line train to huntington(track work forced blue line to share lines with red, orange, yellow)because we wouldnt fit,and it took a half hour for the next yellow train to take us to huntington.BUT 3 TRAINS WENT PAST US IN THAT TIME THAT HAD "NO PASSENGERS"ON THE SCREENS!!!

I know what you are talking about. Because I remember driving past the Branch Avenue metrorail yard, I saw one blue line train nestled among the other trains. Usually, the Blue Line trains are stored at Alexandria Yard.

Was that you traveling on that train?

If this proposal goes into effect (and I still hope it does for the sake of Blue Line riders) there would only be 6 Blue Line trains going to Largo. In order to subside, they would add Orange Line trains and send 4 to Largo every hour. It could also benefit the C&K switch because even though the pattern would still be NC, Largo, NC, Largo, the color pattern for trains would be OR, OR, OR, BL.

I like the idea of sending the Blue line to Greenbelt since it circumvents the loop through Arlington. This is a more direct route to the downtown area. I don't see the point in the Orange to Largo. New Carrolton is busier than Largo.

3 months ago, Metro was proposing sending 4 Blue Line trains to Greenbelt during peak service (4 Orange Line trains would also run to Largo under this proposal) what is your opinion?
Do you remember whether or not this train was all rehabs, or was it mixed?

can't remember. this was taken about a year ago, but if it is typical of what Metro has been doing lately on the morning runs on the Blue line, then it is probably mixed, with the newer cars at the end of the train if its traveling from Largo towards DC
