Nov 2011 - Just a video of me fooling around on the heavy bag using combinations of Wing Chun + Iron Wire Fist + Muay Thai + Taekwondo = Iron Wire Wing Chun .

I didn't put serious power into the combinations as I did it just for fun (so it looks really sloppy, don't bash me for that) but saw some combinations that might be interesting to some of you, hence decided to upload the video.

Visit my blog and donate to my training if you wish at http://singaporeanmmafighter.blogspot.com .

  • Nice training. Like what everyone said, you have a lot of tools in your hands, however, I think now it's the time to "hack away the unessential." Use what is useful to you and discard what is useless. Yes, I am quoting Bruce Lee, but I think with this idea not only will you find your own art (in your case "Iron Wire Wing Chun"), but your art will become very effective and it would be your own way of truly expressing yourself. Keep it up! Can't wait to see more!

  • @legolastwoo Thank you for enjoying my random combinations hehehe. :) Yes, in a fight, I really won't be doing every of these moves but only what works best for the prevailing situation.

  • TU! nice to see an integration of different techniques from different styles. Encourages cross training which is good to open the mind of the public :)

  • @wmpyr Thank you so much for your kind compliment. :)

  • Awesome to see you playing with differnt kind of strikes and techniques. I've watched quite a few of your videos and while I disagree on some points you make, I really respect what you're doing with getting out there and trying to use our art in sparring. As a fellow wing chun fighter I wish you luck and hope you find successs. :)

  • @gageX2z Thank you so much for your kind compliment. :) I shall continue to carry the flag of our art and prove its worth in the sports fighting arena.

  • @ironwirewingchun, that's what people like Shawn Obasi claim too, that they are WC fighters representing WC. Please don't carry this flag in the name of WC. Just be open about your concepts/ideas/theories and how you're trying to combine them and how you're learning along the way. A lot of people don't know about the styles, movements and concepts and quickly get the wrong impression about WC.

  • @DanHorganWingChun Thank you for your kind compliment Dan. :) Guess what I am trying to do here is to simply integrate all the styles so that instead of different styles, I have different weapons at my disposal to handle all kinds of situations. :)

  • You have a lot of weapons in your arsenal. Even if an opponent figures out one style, you'll be able to adapt and beat them with another. That makes you a very dangerous opponent for anyone.
