@fishnet9002 I agree with you on that.......back when I was in high school, being fundamental with original music(that means to be able to play the original songs, with an instrument without sheet music by ear & in the original "key" of what it was composed in).....thus, keeping the originality of the music along with holding the audience's attention.

MELLOW AND SMOOTH!!

Love this song- Soul music is deep and satisfying

Love D Train, now and way back when!!! Whenever I'm feeling like shyt is messed up, I like to play keep on, and I remember to turn the page! I wonder if the current crop of greedy producers and record label execs read the comments here and see the complaints about the direction if their soul-less music and how much everybody yearns for the old school feeling from back in the day???

@10classictv ... Their not going to bring it back, what we have to do is start listening to song of the past. I even think some of us should pick up instruments... quit being consumers and be producers, that will make them listen because we will play the type of music we like instead of being spoon feed.

@fagAshLil1234 you're right.maybe they should bring back classic R&B tunes like this right now!
-
@fagAshLil1234 you are right on point..the R&B today has been mixed up to the point of unrecognizable ..at least the majority of stuff on the radio
-
@BearRilla33 you know why because they have a bunch of horny trifling a/r people with no ear for music but more interested on how much sex they can get if they sign these no talent artist. but thn to talent is making a comeback over looks no hrm tended but look t lidisi girls cooked but she can holler people waking up a bit

esse é o verdadeiro funk demais!!
R&B was so good back then. R&B used to be soul music. Now it's an awful collision of hip hop, trance and pop dance music. I like all those genres but the R&B collision has killed the important SOUL part

@fagAshLil1234 The industry has become so image conscious & materialistic that everything's about style instead of substance. If U can't sing but are visually appealing, U can go quadruple platinum. Just autotune or have ur vocals doctored up. But if U don't have the look & got a voice like Luther with subject matter like Stevie, Ur ignored by the masses. So sad=(
