http://www.euronews.net/ In Paris Turkish people from across Europe protested against the French Senate's plans to vote on Monday on a bill making it illegal to deny the 1915 mass killing of Armenians by Ottoman Turks.

France's lower house voted overwhelmingly last month in favour of a draft law. That prompted outrage from Ankara which cancelled all economic, political and military meetings with Paris.

President Sarkozy has been accused of using the bill to win election votes of half a million ethnic Armenians in France.

  • @raphael3551 many many assumptions on many different issues.... usa, syrian problem, etc ...

I am just wondering if you have been to turkey ? or how many times have you been here ?

  • SERBIJA OF KOSOVO

  • @serdartrk

Of course they are not responsible what the ottomans did but the new generation is responsible for denying it .If turkey was a decent country with decent people they had to say sorry like the Australian government did to the aborigines 3 years ago and recognise the atrocity. make it clear to you if the USA stop the support of turkey will become no more than average Mideast country with Sunni, chia, Alaoui, Greeks, Armenian, Kurds, Assyrian and recently Syrian problem.

  • @raphael3551 its not clear at all... i meant why "turkish" people take those discussions so serious, every person can have it's own opinion, idea or belief. Yugoslavia is a weak example to base your theory of peace. I believe peace never comes when people (both sides) can't learn the way to live together... Whatever, I respect your view and as my personal view I truly condemn the people who are responsible for committing the horrible crime in the past... regards

  • @serdartrk The people take the Armenian Diaspora seriously because they are the result of the genocide and the deportation .It is not considered as victory it is considered as history lesson that your government does not teach it in the schools so now every Turkish kid will ask why my country is a made up country? like Lebanon and Israel? will i have peace here?yes Yugoslavia was a made up country, now when everyone knows where he belongs to ,they live in peace is that clear???

  • @raphael3551 I really don't understand why people take you guys so serious and give reply... even me ! anyway .... enjoy your victory .... I have my own view, and you can never change it.

  • @serdartrk

This is what you think!!Everybody care s about the Armenian genocide, and because of the Turkish government attitude towards the Armenian genocide they don't want turkey in European union can't you see,!!!!wake up and realise

  • @universitet89

97 journalists were to my knowledge, just google perhaps is more now, you don't the Turks they call themself secular ,but they don't have any human rights meanings in their country ,look how they are killing the Kurds ..And now they want to bring a regime down .the Syrian regime. I hope you will be content with this information.I doubt that they are all armenians

  • Who could deny the genocide committed by the nazi germans in WWII ? Its the same thing. Turks massacred Armenians thats the truth, not to mention other peoples whos been massacred by turks such as the Assyrians anatolian greeks etc...
