in this video, i am inhaling nitrous oxide (N2O, laughing gas) from a total of two balloons continuously without breathing air... so it's basically a 3 minute breath hold!

my heart rate goes berserk, and my oxygen saturation drops to a *really* low value.

DO NOT DO ATTEMPT TO DO THIS AT HOME, especially not using a mask - severe health problems as well as suffocation / death may result.
it is NOT safe to do nitrous oxide without monitoring of an anesthetist in a hospital environment.

  • This is one of the most interesting things someone uploaded! I love your experiments on yourself

Keep in mind that the pulse oxymeter on your finger has probably 15-30 second delay, (depend on circulation speed and heart rate ??) so I guess that when it showed 56% it was actually much lower already, probably very close to 40% which is a sure blackout.

check out another interesting video about a pig connected to many probes having VF cardiac arrest: search for "resQpod pig"

  • @blueibiza20vt

wow, that was a pretty awesome video! thanks for the tip!

i just hope they euthanized the poor pig afterwards, nevertheless.

i also wish it was legal for humans to volunteer for experiments more often, without the strict focus on so-called "ethics". pigs feel as much pain and fear as humans do, so i dont see a difference between human and pig experiments. human experiments are most reliable for human research, though.

  • You're kidding me. Oxygen desaturation can be fatal. Good thing you stabilized towards the end. Where did you get the monitor?

  • @operafan31

    on ebay; it's a hellige smu 611. :)

  • you have no clue, it seems. :)

it's not the nitrous oxide that kills, it's the lack of oxygen that does. the body needs a supply of oxygen - O2 molecules - to be able to continue functioning. if you inhale a gas with no free oxygen - no matter if that's helium, nitrous oxide, or carbon dioxide - it will inevitably kill you, full stop.

  • fake. where's the laugh?

  • I have my own HP viridia with ECg, RESP, SpO2, and am trying to get NBP, and ETco2, as well as TEMP monitoring. You know, I LOOOOOOOOVE desatting. I can desat as low as 19 and faint. I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE DOING IT, but its DANGEROUS.

  • Do you like inducing hypoxia? I mean I know you are trying to show us somthing but if you keep doing this to your self respitory arrest is very near. Not to mention all the arrythimia's your heart is having, im pretty sure you don't have epi in case of v fib or adenosine for SVT heck no one is there to administer it so i mean its cool and all but be carful

  • this is what happen when a NOS is leaking in your car

  • @xxMuS1C4L1F3xx U have right :))

  • I've been watching a bunch of your videos because I have real heart rhythm issues, and I'm sorry, but the only thing I can think to say is you are an idiot, and I sincerely hope you don't take things too far one day.

  • you aren't even inhaling nitrous any more after the first few inhales. That's why shit started happening
