    Thank you DjangoMan1963 for uploading this.

    My father introduced me to several Columbia recordings by Cleveland and Szell in the 1960's. This performance is incandescent.

    That this first-rate orchestra flourished in Cleveland, Ohio is a credit to the community.

    When my daughter was a small youth in her child's seat in the back of my car some years ago, I would often play this music for her. I had constructed a tale about a dragon, a captive princess, and a prince to rescue her set to this piece. She asked for Daddy's "story" many times. Still gives me chills. And today is my daughter's first day of college - in the Ivy League. See, listening to classical music brings great things. :)

    Greatest version of the greatest piece of music ever created. Who would've thought - The Cleveland Orchestra? I've listened to this version since 1984 and 2 dozen other versions and this is the absolute best. The emotional impact, the image of glorious Teutonic death is...well, mesmerizing, to the susceptible.
