1. depends on velocity, most fields is under 400 fps so no.
2. it will deform the mask, really hot when it's melted.

it would be bad-ass if someone made enclave tesla armor from fallout 3 and wore it for an airsoft game.

depends on the field, most field I play with the only thing they insist on is eye protection.

why would you use hot glue? you can buy fiberglass mat and resin and use that then trim and clean.

because fiberglass is very harmful, don't need a respirator or a very well ventilated area to use hot glue.
