dude if u see the special edition of kong it talks about skull islands history how 1000s of years ago the island was biger and there was a sivilization just look it up it explains alot

having not known the history of the franchise, I assumed it was in the same realm as Godzilla, and that movie remake was quite forgettable.
My expectations for KK were at the GZ remake level but it exceeded them in every way.
I haven't seen a visual feast like that which had me awestruck since the original Jurassic Park came out.

I thought it was an awesome movie, I was quite pleasantly surprised when I watched it. I too did not see it in the theater and watched it for the first time back in March. It was incredible on blu-ray.
I understand about how dumb it is. The characters portrayed were not the sharpest tools in the shed, and suspension of disbelief was a pre-requisite.
However movies aren't supposed to be real, It was a great action-packed CG-fest.

chock full of dumb? i wouldn't really put it that way. you gotta look at it in a sci-fi kinda way. sci-fi films obviously aren't based on realism. hence the 'fiction' part.

@AtomicPunk1995 If you base a film in our world and it doesn't implicitly include magic, it has to make some sort of sense. This film doesn't. Even if you look past the fact that an ape that big can't live, that island couldn't support the population that built those ruins. Nor built those ruins. As far as considering it dumb, that is my opinion of course.

Good review,dude.I thought the Kong remake was bad but at least,it wasn't as bad as the sh*t stained anmercian Godzilla remake.
