Demonstration of the SPF Ego Booster when used as a gain boost for rhythm guitar parts. My bandmate Gary plays a riff from a track called 'Marlboro King' by our band Vinyl Future. This track can be found at our website using the following link:

So essentially this pedal can basically make the sound of the guitar studio quality in any atmosphere live.
This just seems like a must have then to me now.
And then another question, not really regarding this pedal. How's your e-bow working out?
I had mine, but it just died, like nothing could fix it. I just wanna know if i got like the bastard stepchild one that didnt want to work and I'm apprehensive about buying a new one.
eBow, no prbs dude, been using it for 2-3 years now, no probs at all. Its gets giged alot, so its out and about. Its the eBow plus i have with the two modes. Cool device i use it on a few tracks. Song of ours called placido disc has a good ebow part on it. You will find it on my channel.
If you have the tone piot engaged, from min to 12 it will add a range of bass frequencies to your tone.
From 12 to max it will had treble frequecies.
If your push the boost it will give a massive dB bost and will then start to push ur tubes.
The idea is depending on the room your playing in u adjust the tone accordingly. So bright room, u add bass to level the tone. Dark room u add treble to brighten the tone. So no matter where u play u can keep the frequecny of your lead level.
I'm thinking about buying one of these for my Peavey 5150 I am going to buy.
Does this basically amp up/brighten the sound that the guitar is emiting?
It sounds like there is a nice bass/mid boost on there as well.
And last question, is it worth the money to grab this pedal? Seeing as all I use right now is a Digitech RP-300 and a Boss CH-1, as with the Peavey's footswitch when it's purchased.
Hey man. I love this pedal. It has the tone dial. At its minimm etting it switches off (actually switches, there is a click lol) in this mode it is fairly transparent. Doesnt realy effect the frequency band at all.
The bosst dial is great aswell, below 12 o'clock it goves u a volume boost without really pushing the tubes towards clipping.
