Pastor de Lasala plays the first Elevation from the 1703 organ Mass on the 8th tone by Gaspard Corrette (ca. 1670 - before 1733) on the opus 22 Létourneau organ in the Boys' Chapel of St Aloysius' College, Milsons Point, Sydney, NSW. Photos taken on location at the bastide of Fanjeaux, Aude, France. As a matter of interest, St Dominic, the founder of the eponymous order, resided here 1206 - 1215.

  • Very lovely, but it is the first Elevation.

  • @sandyhackney Thank you. You are quite right. Although I can't alter the credit on the video, I have corrected the information in the description.

  • Bravo! Cheers from Brazil

  • I may be correct, but now i have discovered your wonderful site! Thank you.

  • Very, very beautiful. But, I think it is the first elevation in the two sources I saw.

  • Stylish interpretation of French Baroque organ music is, IMHO, rare. Thanks Pastor for rescuing a nice forgotten Baroque piece but also, most importantly, to show it in all its expressiveness, by the use of very savvy articulation, beautiful inégales and excellent rendering of the ornaments.
